Self Care Tips for Women

As busy women, we give much time, love, attention and care to the needs of others. But what about ourselves?

Ideally, every single day we should do something special just for our own wellbeing and happiness.

So with that in mind, I have put together some of my favourite self care tips.

4 Self Care Tips for Women

Check in – At the start of every facial I like to ask, “How is your skin feeling today?” so I can adjust the treatment to your needs. Try asking yourself regularly: How am *I* feeling today? Check in with yourself. Take a few quiet moments and ask yourself what you need. Now, how can you adjust your day to meet that need?

Get Grounded – Step outside for a few minutes. Feel the grass beneath your feet, the warmth of the sun, the breeze caressing your skin. Breathe deeply – what scents can you identify? Listen to the bird song around you. Admire the beauty of nature.

Treat Yourself – Do one lovely thing for yourself every day. Spritz yourself with your favourite perfume tester when you are out shopping. Pick a couple of flowers from your garden and pop them in a vase on your kitchen bench. Do some simple stretches.

Laugh and Play – Make a point of getting in touch with your silly side regularly. Have a sock fight (like a snow ball fight, except with rolled up socks) with your partner or kids. Play with your dog or cat. Put on some boppy music and get into the groove!
